Description
In Bleach most of the Espada are terrifying because they’re insanely fast, strong or destructive, but SZAYEL APORRO GRANTZ might be the most annoying one to fight because this dude basically treats every battle like a SCIENCE EXPERIMENT and would rather analyze your entire moveset before you even arrive than actually fight you fairly. Szayelaporro is Espada Number 8, and visually he looks way less intimidating than somebody like Grimmjow or Nnoitra because he has this long pink hair, glasses and this almost elegant white Arrancar uniform, but that’s because his whole gimmick isn’t brute force, it’s INTELLIGENCE. He’s a scientist just like Mayuri, and during the Hueco Mundo arc he constantly shows that he’s been gathering information on basically everybody around him, especially Renji and Uryu, because he has access to data collected from previous battles and can use that information to build counters specifically for YOU. This is exactly what happens when Renji tries to use his Bankai Zabimaru against him, only for Szayelaporro to reveal that he already studied the ability and altered the room they’re fighting in so Renji’s Bankai basically CAN’T FUNCTION properly, which is such a disrespectful way to fight because he doesn’t overpower your ultimate technique, he just makes sure you aren’t allowed to USE IT. And his Resurrection FORNICARAS somehow gets even more disgusting, because once he releases it Szayelaporro grows these huge tentacle-like wings covered in strange bulb shapes and gains abilities that feel less like combat techniques and more like somebody’s worst medical nightmare. One of his main abilities lets him wrap an opponent in these tendrils and create a little DOLL that perfectly represents their body, and then Szayelaporro can pull tiny models of their ORGANS out of the doll and crush them with his fingers, causing the real organ inside the target to rupture at the exact same time.
