Description
In Bleach Ichigo has had SO many transformations that at this point you could probably fill an entire character select screen with just different versions of this one dude, but Bleach Brave Souls created an original Ichigo that basically asks what would happen if you combined his SOUL REAPER, HOLLOW and FULLBRING powers together into ONE form at the same time. This version of Ichigo was created to celebrate the FIFTH ANNIVERSARY of Brave Souls, and instead of just giving him another random outfit, the actual concept behind the design is that Ichigo has simultaneously awakened the different sources of power he was using around the Fullbring era, creating this completely original hybrid that never actually appears like this in the manga or anime. Now visually you can immediately see where all of these different pieces are coming from because Ichigo has the long flowing BLACK HAIR that makes him look closer to some of his more powerful late-series transformations, while his body is covered in this sleek black outfit mixed with the WHITE armor-like pieces that came from his COMPLETED FULLBRING. Remember, before Ginjo stole that power from him, Ichigo’s Fullbring eventually evolved from just manipulating his Substitute Soul Reaper Badge into an entire suit of white armor over a black bodysuit, and this new Brave Souls form takes that aesthetic and merges it directly into his Soul Reaper powers instead of having it exist as some separate temporary stage. On top of THAT, Ichigo’s Hollow side is completely incorporated into the design as well, with white bone-like armor, sharper markings and a much more aggressive spiritual appearance that makes it look like his Hollow power isn’t something he needs to summon with a MASK anymore, it’s just fully blended into everything else he’s using. And that’s what makes this version interesting because throughout most of Bleach Ichigo’s powers are CONSTANTLY fighting with each other. His Hollow side threatens to take control, his Soul Reaper powers disappear, his Fullbring develops separately and then gets stolen, and it takes basically until the Thousand Year Blood War for Ichigo to finally understand that all of these things were ALWAYS parts of the same person
