Even AANG Can't Stop What's Coming... #ATLA #Avatar #Comics In Avatar the Last Airbender to try and keep an old angry spirit from killing everyone in town, Aang grabs a rock and uses his earth bending to turn it into a Fire Nation symbol so that he can fix his necklace which is supposed to contain a symbol of all 4 nations, this allows Aang to reconnect to the spirit world in search of guidance from his past lives, where he’s SURPRISED by the appearance of Avatar Roku, since previously Aang actually tried to cut OFF the connection between him and Roku, but apologizes for doing so here because he says that he missed him. There, Roku explains to Aang that he needs to remember that no matter what the Avatars tell him, they’re only looking out for his best interest however that doesn’t mean EVERYTHING they say is correct or has to be applied the same way, since they’re all only guiding Aang from their OWN experiences. There, walking past Avatar Kiyoshi and Kuruk, Aang eventually ends up back infront of Yangchen who he asks about her agreement with General Old Iron, allowing Yangchen to finally complete her story. Yangchen tells Aang that General Old Iron promised to never don his armor again and attack humanity if she built a memorial for his friend Lady Tienhai which is the mysterious statue at the coast that Aang and the others found at the start of our story. Alongside the memorial, she also promised that this land would be allowed to return to it’s natural state free of human influence, as a sign that humans ARE capable of preserving and protecting the balance between them and spirits…
