Video Transcript:
Step 1. Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone.
Step 2. Tap "Notifications."
Step 3. Scroll through the list of installed apps and tap the specific app you want to stop seeing notifications from on your car display.
Step 4. Look for the Show in CarPlay toggle, and tap the switch to turn it off. If an app does not feature a dedicated Show in CarPlay switch, toggling off Allow Notifications will stop all alerts from that app while you drive.
If you want to prevent Siri from reading incoming texts out loud through your car speakers, you can also turn off spoken message announcements. Go to Settings, tap Notifications, and select Announce Notifications. From there, you can turn off Announce Notifications completely, or disable it for individual apps like Messages or WhatsApp. Alternatively, if you want to block all non-essential alerts across every app while on the road, you can enable Driving Focus by going to Settings, selecting Focus, tapping Driving, and choosing to activate it automatically whenever your iPhone connects to CarPlay.
