Max Dalton Guide Today

Description

In this video I'll show you how to turn off Auto-Reload on your Amazon gift card balance. Auto-Reload automatically charges your credit or debit card to add money to your gift card balance, either on a recurring schedule or when your balance drops below a certain amount, so you'll want to turn it off if you no longer want those charges.

Step 1. Open a web browser, navigate to www.amazon.com, and then sign in to your Amazon account if you're not signed in already.

Step 2. Hover over "Account and Lists" in the top right corner of the screen, and then click "Account" in the menu that appears. Your Account screen is displayed.

Step 3. Click "Gift Cards." Your Gift Card Balance page opens, and you'll see your current balance along with your Auto-Reload setting.

Step 4. Click "Cancel Auto-Reload." A Delete Setting window pops up letting you know that if you delete this setting, you'll have to manually reload your balance when needed.

Step 5. Click "Delete." A message appears at the top of the page letting you know your Auto-Reload setting has been deleted, and the Auto-Reload Setting section now shows an option to set up Auto-Reload. Amazon will no longer automatically add funds to your gift card balance.

Turning off Auto-Reload doesn't affect the money that's already in your gift card balance, so you can keep using those funds on future purchases. It's also worth noting that if Amazon has trouble processing a payment for one of your Auto-Reload orders, it will turn off the setting automatically and send you an email. If you ever want to turn it back on, just go back to the Gift Card Balance page and set up a new Auto-Reload.

If you prefer to turn off Auto-Reload using the Amazon app, the process is very similar. Open the Amazon app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device, and then tap the person icon in the menu along the bottom of the screen. Your account screen is displayed. Swipe down, and then tap "Gift Card Balance." Your Gift Card Balance page opens. Navigate to Your Auto-Reload Setting in the Manage Your Balance section, and then tap "Cancel Auto-Reload." A Delete Setting window pops up from the bottom of the screen letting you know that you'll have to manually reload your balance when needed. Tap "Delete." A message appears at the top of the screen letting you know your Auto-Reload setting has been deleted, and Your Auto-Reload Setting now shows that Auto-Reload is currently off.
