Step 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone when you are not actively driving.
Step 2. Tap "General," and then tap "CarPlay."
Step 3. Select your vehicle from the list of linked cars.
Step 4. Tap "Widgets."
Step 5. Tap "Add Widgets" to view all available widget options for your vehicle display.
Step 6. Tap the specific widget you want to add, and then tap "Add Widget." The next time your iPhone connects to your vehicle, the new widgets will appear on your CarPlay dashboard view.
If you want to customize how widgets behave on your screen, you can enable Smart Rotate within the same Widgets menu to let iOS automatically rotate relevant widgets into view based on context or time of day, or toggle on Widget Suggestions for smart recommendations. To reorder or remove widgets from your layout, hold and drag the reorder icon next to any widget to change its position, or tap the minus icon to delete it.
