Video Transcript:
Step 1. Open your project in Shotcut, and then click the "Export" tab along the bottom of the panel on the left side of the screen. The Export panel opens.
Step 2. Click to select the preset you want to use in the Presets list. In this example, I'll select "YouTube."
Step 3. Click "Advanced" at the bottom of the Export panel. Advanced export options appear, with the Video tab selected.
Step 4. Scroll down through the Video tab options until you see "Parallel processing" at the bottom.
Step 5. Click to check the box next to "Parallel processing." Parallel processing is now enabled, and you can click "Export Video/Audio" to export your video with this setting.
Keep in mind that this setting is tied to your export settings, so it may not stick if you choose a different preset or click "Reset." If you want to reuse it, you can click the plus icon below the Presets list to save your current settings as a custom preset, and then select that preset the next time you export. Also, if you notice crashes, glitches, or frames that look wrong in your exported video after turning this on, particularly when you're using a lot of filters, go back and uncheck "Parallel processing" and try exporting again.
