Was Aang WRONG About Fire Lord Ozai...? #avatarthelastairbender #comics #atla In Avatar the Last Airbender after capturing the leader of the Non-Bender Removal Cult, Toph tells Aang that the obvious answer is to take away Liling’s bending which would take away her ability to lead this uprising, but Katara is NOT having it. Off on the side, Suki tells Aang that she’s not sure if the other benders would be okay with him doing this since he’s only done it before to Lord Ozai, with Sokka adding in that EVERYONE agreed Lord Ozai was a bad person and deserved it, but Liling is different, she actually has tons of support and she’s a CIVILIAN at the end of the day, meaning taking HER bending away risks Aang’s entire relationship with the bender community at large who might think that’s how he solves ALL of his problems, but that’s when Toph steps in saying it’s decision time, what’s it going to be? At that moment Aang still isn’t ready to decide as he walks past everyone saying that he needs to atleast TALK with Liling first before he decides anything, as he walks up to her cell with Liling saying Hello Avatar what can I help you with, and Aang replying that he’s spent a lot of time in the Earth Kingdom, there are tons of people that he cares about both Bender and Non-bender, so he wants to know what he can do as the Avatar to resolve this conflict so her followers can be at peace because HIS job is to protect EVERYONE, but that doesn’t mean he won’t beat down every last one of her supporters if that means protecting the non-benders in town.
