Vintage ELS Triple Header (FP7A, GP38, SD9) with SURPRISE Horn Blast!

Description

A rare Escanaba and Lake Superior (ELS) vintage triple header rolls south with an incredible lineup and a hilarious surprise horn blast downtown Iron Mountain!
Watch ELS 600 (FP7A), ELS 400 (GP38), and ELS 1224 (SD9) pull out of the Channing, MI railyard. They are hauling heavy freight: 15 loaded gondolas of 100-year-old scrap rail removed from the Wells line, plus 10 gondolas of Alter Metal. The train also makes a quick stop at the Sagola mill to pick up empty pulpwood cars.
The real highlight happens in downtown Iron Mountain, MI! Someone forgot to tell the new engineer that he didn't need to blow the horns downtown. Enjoy the unexpected, loud horn blast—a funny railfanning moment I wish had lasted the entire way through town!
