Description
As contractors load railcars with scrap rail pulled from between Channing and Wells, Michigan, Escanaba & Lake Superior (ELS) locomotives 600 and 400 make some quick switching moves to build a southbound train!
Watch as a heavy CAT front-end loader grabs full-length pieces of steel rail right off the semi-truck, dropping them into the gondolas parked on the house track. Stick around for the switching action as these vintage units put together a massive, heavy scrap train.
