Toph Tells Aang to TAKE Her BENDING Away... (She Deserves It) #avatarthelastairbender #comics #atla In Avatar the Last Airbender after Team Avatar snuck into a dangerous cult meeting and arrested their leader, Liling, she warns them that this is all only just beginning, as at the halfway mark of our story we pick up with Liling’s daughters walking away from this whole ordeal given that they were lucky enough to escape, as Yaling freaks out over how easily Suki managed to take her bending away, and her sister Ru tells her that it’s not that big of a deal because atleast HER bending will come back once she’s no longer chi blocked, but when Yaling says she hopes it does because if not then she’ll be stuck being just like her useless sister, Rue stands up annoyed, putting her hand out towards her sister and telling her that they need a plan to free their mother, as we cut back away to Liling in her cell. Now there, Toph tells Aang not to worry about Liling escaping because Toph metal bended the prison cell herself and it comes with a 100% guarantee, and as Toph wonders if they can just go ahead and wrap all of this up by capturing Liling’s daughters, Sokka chimes in that it isn’t going to be that easy since there was SO MANY people at the meeting including councilmembers and even one of the boys that Aang met on the beach near the beginning of the story, meaning she has TONS of support from the benders all over town. It’s there where Katara says that Liling IS wrong for pushing all of the problems onto the Non-benders, with Sokka replying that she’s preying on the tensions that have been building up between both groups for a long time now, so he doesn’t think keeping her locked up is going to do much given that she’s not the CAUSE of that resentment…
