(It Goes Wrong) #AvatarTheLastAirbender #Avatar #ATLA #comics #shorts In Avatar the last Airbender Toph is having some REAL issues with her father because all day he’s been DENYING her, telling her that she isn’t his because he didn’t raise an ungrateful rude little brat, and when Toph tries to stand up for herself, Lao Beifong tells her that she has one last chance to behave like the proper sophisticated girl that he raised, and that’s when it all starts to flood out of toph. She says you’re wrong father, you didn’t raise a quiet, meek well mannered girl, that’s just a distant memory that you’re holding onto and to be honest even that memory is a lie because it was all an act, an act that I put on because it was the only way to survive, the only way to stay with you and mom with SOME sort of peace so you’d get off my back… but right here RIGHT NOW, I’M standing infront of you, your ACTUAL daughter, the real one and not the one you made up in your head, and I’m not so bad dad. I might not be proper, maybe i’m boyish, maybe I’ll grow and completely neglect one of my kids too, but right now i’m someone whose become the greatest earth bender in history. I’m someone who the avatar relied on for training, and then beyond that I HELPED the avatar end the Hundred year war and bring peace to our country, freeing our people from the Fire Nation. Is that long distant memory really so important that all of THESE things are worth ignoring? Is there nothing that he has to say to the girl that accomplished all that, runs her own metal bending academy, and still has time to live a free and happy life?
