Description
We're continuing our sculpin series with an articulated streamer—the Sculpzilla.
Unlike the Skulpin Bunny and Slump Buster we tied over the last two weeks, the Sculpzilla has an articulated rear section that can move independently from the front of the fly.
Combine that with soft rabbit strips, marabou, hackle, and pectoral fins, and you've got a streamer with a tremendous amount of movement in the water.
It's a little more involved to tie than our previous two sculpin patterns, but once you get into a rhythm, it's surprisingly manageable.
And all that extra movement makes it a particularly interesting fly to fish on the swing.
I'll show you exactly how to tie the Sculpzilla this Thursday!
