I Wasn't Expecting to Catch THIS at a State Park!

McFly Angler Guide Yesterday

Description

I recently got Risen Fly's new M Four Nineteen fly rod, and decided to take it out to Blanco State Park here in Texas to give it a try.

I wasn't really expecting to catch anything particularly impressive. I just wanted to spend some time on the water, make a few casts, and see how the new rod performed.

Throughout the day, I managed to catch several nice sunfish.

But toward the end of the trip, I hooked into something a little more exciting!

This beautiful Rio Grande cichlid was one of the largest I've caught in quite a while, and I caught it on a small white Woolly Bugger.

Not a bad way to finish a day of testing a new fly rod!

The complete fishing video is now available on my YouTube channel, where I share more of the trip and my thoughts on Risen's new M Four Nineteen.
