Well for Aang, we learn that the things he likes to do the most are Air Scooter Tricks, Gliding, Penguin Sledding, Meditation, and hanging out with Appa and Momo, with the character extras detailing that besides Katara what Aang loves the most is peace, helping others, and playing games since he’s still got that playful nature about him despite everything he’s been through. For Katara, her favorite hobbies are practicing waterbending when no one is looking, healing people, swimming, and fixing the clothes of the rest of the group because she’s ACTUALLY really good at sewing we learn. Beyond that of course she loves Aang, but she’s also a MASSIVE fan of sea kumquats, and yeah, that’s just a pretty funny word. Kumquat. Now for Katara’s brother Sokka, unsurprisingly one of his favorite hobbies is Swordsmanship which is something he actually shares with Zuko, however unlike Zuko some of Sokka’s favorite things to do are Engineering and inventing things which also go hand in hand with his hobby of making sketches for all sorts of ideas, however beyond that what Sokka enjoys the most in life is Making Jokes, eating meat, learning new tricks with his boomerangs, and developing strategies that make the rest of his friends have a little more faith in him when things get serious, but for Toph, HER favorite hobby is the LEAST surprising, since of course just like how we met her in the first place, her FAVORITE thing to do is attend underground fighting rings where typically she tries to join in on any Earth Rumbles happening, but it also says that one of her favorite hobbies is creating new bending styles, meaning she was probably ALWAYS looking for ways to extend her record as the best earth bender in the world, making me wonder if she ever got close to any OTHER kind of earth adjacent bending styles besides metal.
