Now Byakuya of course is a captain and is EXTREMELY capable on his own, looking down on Ichigo because previously he was able to just DESTROY him without any effort.. But things aren’t going to go as easily this time. Byakuya tells Ichigo that he’s going to kill him AND Rukia this time to wrap up this whole ridiculous affair, but Ichigo disagrees. He smiles after a few sword clashes asking Byakuya why he isn’t dead yet, and then he goes even FURTHER, telling Byakuya to bring out his Bankai so he can destroy it and force the big brother to go and apologize to his sister on his knees. This does NOT amuse Byakuya who tells Ichigo he wouldn’t have to use his Bankai against the Ryoku for atleast another thousand years, causing him to activate his Shikai Senbon Zakura, allowing his blade to completely melt away into small petals that make their way towards Ichigo, with each of these petals being able to slash just like a sword, however, once one of these petals get’s a little too close, Ichigo swings his sword catching Byakuya completely offguard, as a MASSIVE burst of energy runs across the battlefield slicing right through everything in it’s path, and this is our introduction to Ichigo’s Getsuga Tensho, which is a MASS of Spiritual energy ejected from his sword that he can fire on demand now thanks to his training.
