WORKS?! #ATLA #Avatar #Comics In Avatar the Last Airbender after Sokka SUCCESSFULLY helped Toph’s trio of students figure out how to metal bend, we see them all celebrating as Fire Bending Master Kunyo and his students walk off into the sunset, allowing them to keep the school going with Toph as their teacher. There, The Dark One tells Toph that things changed DRASTICALLY and pretty quickly, because last night all 3 of them actually packed up their things to leave, thinking that they disappointed Toph and she didn’t want to see them anymore, however because they heard what she said, they decided to stay… Toph doesn’t get it, she says why? IT’s not like I said anything nice about you guys, but that’s where Penga chimes in telling Toph that she did, because she told Sokka that she EXPECTED them to become Metal Benders, and that’s actually a huge deal, as no one has ever had expectations for them in their entire lives, other than maybe a wimp, a spoiled brat, or a tall dark and mysterious hunk… okay maybe the Dark one is tripping with that last one, but the point is that Master Toph was the first person to believe that ANY of these 3 could be more than what they think they are, as Toph wipes a tear off of eyes and turns to her students telling them how happy she is, but saying that they all still absolutely suck because floating some coins through the air DOESN’T make you a metal bending master!
