About this video: Making a Forge server in Minecraft 26.2 allows you to install Forge mods and play them with your friends on a world you completely control. In this guide, we cover everything from downloading the Forge installer to starting your server, adding mods, and allowing other players to join.

First things first, you will need to download the Forge installer for Minecraft 26.2. There is a link in the description above that will take you to our complete Forge guide. From there, select Minecraft 26.2 and download the installer. You will also need Java to open the installer, so make sure Java is installed before moving forward.

Next, create a new folder on your desktop named “Forge Server 26.2”. Open the Forge installer with Java, select “Install Server”, and click the three dots to choose the server folder you just created. Click “OK”, and Forge will begin downloading the files required for your server.

Once the installation is finished, open the Forge Server 26.2 folder and run the startup file. Your server will attempt to start, but it will stop the first time because you need to agree to the Minecraft EULA. Open the eula.txt file, change “eula=false” to “eula=true”, and save the file. Run the startup file again, and your Forge server will start.

To add mods, stop the server by typing “stop” into the console and pressing Enter. Download Forge mods made specifically for Minecraft 26.2, and move them into the “mods” folder inside your server folder. You and everyone joining will also need Forge 26.2 and the same required mods installed locally in the mods folder within your .minecraft folder.

You can test your server from the same computer by launching Minecraft with Forge 26.2 and joining with the server address “localhost”. For your friends to join from outside your network, you will need to forward port 25565 using both the TCP and UDP protocols. They can then connect using your public IP address while the server is running.

With that, you now know how to make a Forge server in Minecraft 26.2. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
