First things first, the easiest way to add mods is to install the official ones directly from the main menu. From the main menu, you can browse through the official mods and install the ones you want with just a couple of clicks. This is the simplest method, and it is a great place to start if you are new to modding the game.
However, if there is a mod you found elsewhere that you want to add, you will need to install it manually. To do this, first download the mod you want. Once it has finished downloading, we can move on to getting it into the correct mods folder for your version.
If you play through Steam, open your "Documents" folder, then go to "My Games", then "FarmingSimulator2025", and finally the "Mods" folder. If you do not see a "Mods" folder in here, you can simply create one yourself and name it "Mods".
If you play through Xbox, the process is a little different. Press the Windows Key and "R" at the same time to open the "Run" dialog box. Type "%appdata%" and hit Enter. From there, navigate back to the main "AppData" folder, then go into "Local" and then "Packages". In here, look for the folder that starts with "GIANTSSoftware.FarmingSimulator25". Open that, and then go through "LocalCache", "Local", and finally "mods".
Once you have the correct folder open for your version, just move the mod you downloaded into it. With that, all that is left to do is launch the game. When it loads up, your mods will be installed and ready to use.
