Aang Would Rather KILL ZUKO Than Allow THIS... #ATLA #Avatar #Comics In Avatar the Last Airbender we see as Aang's BIGGEST Fear About Mixing Nations is...ontop of a building in Yu Dao, we have Aang sitting down struggling as he tells Katara that his head hurts… he feels confused, but why? He understands how Nations work, when two nations come together there’s always one that’s stronger than the other and the strong look down on the weak, which leads to conflict that eventually ends up in the worst kind of life for one group, but that’s where Katara cuts in telling Aang that maybe he’s wrong. Aang once told her that separation is an illusion, and his Guru once told him that All four Nations are actually just ONE Nation, but Aang disagrees. He says NO. I don’t want everyone to be homogenized that way, MY CULTURE is IMPORTANT TO MY PEOPLE, I love being an Air Nomad BECAUSE of our philosophy and our food and our holidays, if we just let anyone in then all of a sudden what makes us different anymore? What makes anyone different if all of the nations just mix together… he can’t understand. Aang is kinda wylin here he’s definitely giving republican or something I’m not really sure what he’s on but I guess he IS from a different time, however as Katara keeps trying to help him figure this out, Aang says that no matter what, even if he has to keep his promise to Zuko that he’ll kill him if things ever got this bad, he HAS to keep the nations from mixing, and with Aang going down a sort of weird path, let’s see where that leads him, NEXT.
