What do Iranians REALLY believe about their government, religion, foreign countries and their own history? Well, like any people, there is a wide range of opinions and beliefs among Iranian citizens and those of Iranian descent and there have certainly been many seismic shifts in public opinion in the past few years. Although no one can know exactly just what the Iranian public thinks or believes due to heavy censorship and a tight grip on the public consciousness by the IRGC, outside polling by groups like GAMAAN and various polls and censuses of Iranian citizens around the world can help shine a light on just how different their average beliefs are than you might expect.
