Video 4 – Building Beautiful, Natural Skin Tones
In this fourth video of our silicone baby painting series, we're continuing to bring little Molly to life by gradually building up those lovely, soft, natural baby skin tones.
We'll be adding another delicate layer of crimson oxide mottling, followed by touches of yellow ochre and cool red to introduce warmth, gentle blushing and definition to those lovely little rolls and creases. I'll also show you how I add colour and depth inside the mouth, before returning to our blue tones to enhance the subtle veins, shadows and cooler areas of the skin.
As always, it's all about working with thin, translucent layers, blending carefully and gradually building up the colours rather than trying to achieve everything in one go. You'll see how each layer contributes to creating that beautiful, realistic baby skin we're aiming for.
So, get yourself a cuppa, come and join me at the painting table, and let's give Molly a little more colour! ❤️
