Video 8 – Matting, Finishing & The Big Reveal! | Comprehensive Silicone Doll Painting Course
Well, here we are at the final video in our Comprehensive Silicone Doll Painting Course, and it's time to put those lovely finishing touches on our baby!
In this lesson I'll show you how I matte my silicone babies, using a thin layer of silicone and professional matting powder to create a beautifully soft, natural-looking skin finish. We'll talk about the different matting products, why I prefer the methods I use, and some important safety considerations along the way.
Once our baby is fully matted, we'll add a little gloss to the lips, nails and other areas that need that extra touch of realism, before giving him a lovely bath and revealing our finished little one!
I'll also chat about some of the things I've learned over the years, and why it's so important to understand your materials and find the techniques that work best for you.
And that's it — our beautiful newborn baby is finished! Well, apart from his hair and eyebrows, but that's another adventure!
