It’s been one year since the announcement of the October 2025 ceasefire. The hope of safety that this announcement brought was fleeting, because safety never actually materialized.
A ceasefire should mean MSF emergency rooms are no longer filled with people wounded by war. Yet, as of September 14, at least 1,372 Palestinians have been killed and 4,659 injured since October 10, 2025, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health. This number continues to increase daily.
