CNN: Doctor in #Gaza reflects on one year of “ceasefire”

Description

Dr. Ahmed Abu Warda is MSF’s Nasser Hospital activities director in Khan Younis, Gaza. Every day when he goes to work, he wonders if he’ll make it back alive. He wants the world to know one thing: this is not a ceasefire.

The world cannot continue to pretend that this is what a ceasefire looks like. A real ceasefire means stopping the violence, opening crossings to allow supplies to enter Gaza unhindered, and letting the patients who need to be treated outside Gaza leave, with full respect to their right to a safe, voluntary, and dignified return to Gaza.
