The so-called ceasefire in Gaza is not a ceasefire.
MSF physician Dr. Aqsa Durrani was in Gaza in 2025 before the ceasefire was declared, treating the same types of injuries her Palestinian colleagues continue to treat now.
If this were an actual ceasefire, doctors wouldn’t still see emergency rooms full of patients with blast injuries and blunt trauma. Families wouldn’t receive sudden, arbitrary orders to flee their houses and shelters at all hours.
“If this were an actual ceasefire, people wouldn’t still be being bombed,” said Dr. Durrani. “Palestinian people would not be living in fear and without all of the things that could provide them a life of dignity.”
This is not a ceasefire. This is a genocide.
