Description
Liesbeth Aelbrecht, MSF emergency coordinator in Sudan, details the humanitarian needs our teams witnessed at a displacement camp in El Obeid amid increasing drone attacks on the city’s infrastructure. The camp has poor hygienic conditions, with very few restrooms, and is in urgent need of safe drinking water. With the rainy season coming, the risk of diseases like cholera is high. As the needs evolve, MSF teams are ready, and supplies are prepared, to expand the response in El Obeid, as well as other areas across Kordofan. Humanitarian organizations need safe access so they can continue providing lifesaving assistance.
