Description
For two hours in June, Ahmed was trapped in a car along with his wife, their daughter, and others while the vehicle came under fire by Israeli forces. Ahmed and his family were on their way to his daughter’s brain surgery appointment.
Our colleagues in Gaza have been shot in their tents, had family members killed, fled their homes in panic, or found their homes destroyed by airstrikes. In March, a nurse with MSF watched as her 4-year-old cousin was killed by an airstrike. One MSF nurse had to evacuate and flee his shelter with his disabled brother, losing all his possessions. One morning, the widow of an MSF driver who was killed woke up to bullets landing on her mattress; other mornings, she awakes to the sound of shelling.
This is not a ceasefire.
