Dang works as an epidemiologist with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) responding to the Ebola outbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo. His job is conducting Ebola surveillance around Mongbwalu, Ituri province — an epicenter of the outbreak. To help contain the spread of the disease, he finds people who have reported Ebola symptoms and those who've had personal contact with an infected person. He has to work fast to save lives.
MSF is supporting surveillance, referrals, and care in the Ebola treatment center (ETC) at Mongbwalu General Referral Hospital, with plans to open a new ETC in a few weeks.
