Description
Two words you'll never hear me call myself:
Healer. Fixer.
Not because I don't care. I care too much sometimes.
I don't say them, because they're lies.
I didn't rebuild your tissue capacity. You did.
I didn't show up to every session for six months. You did.
I didn't carry the discipline home on the hard nights. You did.
My job isn't to fix you. It's to show you the path.
You're the one who has to walk it.
A fixer hands you a finished thing and disappears.
A guide stands next to you on the mountain, and makes sure you don't climb it alone.
Every person who walks through @themovementunderground doors is already capable.
They just need someone who knows the terrain.
If you're a clinician — this is the actual job.
Not a cure. Guidance.
If you're looking for help...
this is what you need.
Not someone to fix you.
Someone to climb it with you, make sure you have the tools, perhaps a helping hand here and there...
and then, my favorite part...someone to celebrate with when
YOU ACHIEVE THE GOAL!
Save this.
Tag someone who needs a guide, not another "quick fix."
