🔥 ONshape CAD CHALLENGE 2.1 | LEVEL 2 BEGINS!

Congratulations on completing all 20 practice problems from Level 1!

We are now moving to Level 2 of the Onshape CAD Challenge. In this session, we will solve Practice Problem 2.1 by interpreting a 2D engineering drawing and converting it into a complete 3D CAD model using Onshape.

This exercise introduces several interesting modelling operations, including rounded profiles, sketch trimming, fillets, offset geometry, and creating boss features on both sides of a thin plate.

We will also explore how the Use / Project / Convert tool can simplify sketch creation and make the modelling process more efficient.

🔧 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

✅ Interpreting front, sectional top and right-side views
✅ Understanding detailed views and drawing scales
✅ Creating a 109 × 31 mm rectangular profile
✅ Creating rounded corners using circles and trimming
✅ Understanding why the Fillet tool is not suitable for every profile
✅ Extruding a thin plate with 1.5 mm thickness
✅ Applying 3.75 mm fillets
✅ Using Use / Project / Convert to transfer sketch geometry
✅ Creating an inward offset of 1.5 mm
✅ Creating peripheral geometry using Extrude
✅ Creating concentric circular boss features
✅ Using the Mirror tool to reproduce geometry
✅ Creating through-all holes
✅ Checking the final model using Mass Properties

📐 FINAL MODEL VOLUME:
5,263 mm³
