Hello everyone! This is Manas, your friend and tutor.
In this video, we continue the **Onshape CAD Challenge** series with **Problem 1.18**, where we create a complete 3D CAD model from the given orthographic drawing.
In this challenge, we will work with the **Top View, Front View and Side View** to understand the geometry and build the model step-by-step in Onshape.
🔹 We begin by creating the base sketch on the Top Plane
🔹 Create the 100 × 100 mm base profile
🔹 Create the central Ø45 mm hole
🔹 Understand the meaning of "10 TYP" and "8 TYP" dimensions
🔹 Create an offset plane for the additional profile
🔹 Use projected geometry to construct the profile accurately
🔹 Apply the required dimensions and extrusion
🔹 Merge the separate feature with the main body
🔹 Use the Mirror feature to complete the opposite side
🔹 Finally, measure the completed model and verify the result
📐 **CAD Challenge:** 1.18
💻 **Software:** Onshape
📏 **Approach:** Orthographic Drawing → 3D CAD Model

💡 **My recommendation:** Don't just watch the solution. Pause the video, study the orthographic views and try to create the model yourself. Practising one CAD problem every day is one of the best ways to stay connected with the CAD ecosystem and improve your modelling skills.
