Please read my blog: "Donut Held Them Together. Without Donut, Whip and Syrup Are Deteriorating." Donut was their inspiration. His presence kept them going through the very difficult and stressful time at Aso prison.
When I first arrived at Aso Farmland Whip was so pleased to see me, he thought I had come to rescue him and take him away from Aso where he was suffering enormously, always stressed, often frightened. This was 3 months after the great tragedy when Donut, Syrup, Whip and Ryosuke were so cruelly taken from their home and sent to Aso concrete floored prison. We tried so hard to rescue them but the cruel management of Nagasaki Bio Park refused to let us buy them. We had found a wonderful new home for them at an Animal Sanctuary in Chiba prefecture.
