Nadeshiko, Kikyo and Sasuke are just 10 days old. Their older brother Ko goes into a blissful trance as they climb all over him and chew his hair.
I have written a book all about capybaras: "My Life with Capybaras. What Capybaras Have Taught Me"
My book gives more information about capybaras than other books written about this fascinating species. With captivating stories about the capybaras I have spent my life with.
There are lots and lots of photos and links to videos showing and explaining the behaviours and relationships I write about, the many interesting vocalisations/sounds capybaras make. These capybara behaviours are interesting, clever and often amusing
All my books are available from Amazon as a paperback or an e-book.
I have also published this book as 3 separate books.
Book 1 of my original Omnibus book "My Life with Capybaras. What Capybaras Have Taught Me"
"I Fell in Love with a Capybara" about the pet capybaras she has known and loved, and 2 capybara pups rescued in the wild in Brazil and Argentina, one of whom was rescued from her mother's womb after hunters killed the mother.
This book Is the story of the capybaras who changed my life, including Romeo and Tuff'n. Capybaras are such interesting and emotional animals and they lead such rich, interesting and often very emotional lives.
Romeo and Tuff'n became family to me. I became part of their herd. Romeo and Tuff'n lived as members of their family, sleeping in the family bed and joining in family activities. If anyone was ill or injured, Romeo would spend the day beside them on the bed being very affectionate and making us feel better. Pet capybaras learn many English words and phrases.
I also include the story of two capybaras who were rescued as newborns in South America. One was rescued from her mother's womb after hunters killed her mother. The other, Ramos, was just a few hours old when a friend of mine found him alone, cold and close to death. His mother had been killed by a predator. The lady who rescued Ramos describes her capybara, now 7 years old: "Ramos has had a huge impact on me. I see him as godlike. Capybaras seem to know so much more than we know. Capybaras feel things we are completely unaware of. They sense things before they happen. For me Ramos is a superior being." Ramos lives with dogs, cats and rescued tapirs, peccaries, sheep, pigs and cows. But her capybara stands apart as a very special being.
Book 2: You can read all about Donut and his herd including Syrup, Ryosuke, Whip, Aoba and Madoka, in this book, which is book 2 of my Omnibus book "My Life with Capybaras. What Capybaras Have Taught Me."
