Hi everyone! As I mentioned in my last video, here's the newest one I've been working on for the past week and a half. It's one of two short videos or animatics I plan to create. This helps compensate for the fewer videos and animatics made in May and lets me experiment with shorter formats.
Why did I choose this specific audio and music for the animatic? Because I saw many animation memes using "On Melancholy Hill" by Gorillaz, each giving a fun or charming vibe—whether funny or cute. After watching several, I thought it would be enjoyable to create my own. I also wanted to keep it simple and short. Even though this animatic has fewer frames than my others this year, I put in the same effort and dedication. Additionally, I decided to make another Fire Emblem animatic, this time featuring Fire Emblem Engage, which I've been playing recently. It was a great chance to draw two characters I like and try an idea I’ve had for a while. Even though MerMay has ended, I will continue making mermaid-themed art if I enjoy it, so I wanted to give this a shot.
I chose to fully colour and shade this short animatic because it’s quick to make and I thought it would be a good way to make it visually distinct from my recent animatics. As I mentioned earlier, this also serves to make up for the lack of videos in May, since I was busy working on a Pride month-related animatic last month. Plus, I wanted to do something fun, not too time-consuming, and that I could work on at my own pace.
I am working on another short video to make up for May and will take my time with it, as I do with all my videos and animatics. Please be patient until it’s ready. Once finished, I’ll upload it so you can watch and enjoy. Until then, I hope you like this one.
