Description
Sometimes, having scars or looking a little off can be tough and make someone feel like they are a monster. For Nova Yale, this is no exception, but two other people who are with her will prove her wrong.

Hi there, guys, and here’s to another year of animatics, videos, and randomness for you all to see and enjoy. This is the animatic I have been working on near the end of December and throughout this month, too. I worked really hard on it, and it was inspired by a drawing I came across on Instagram a good while ago, before I even started making this animatic.
As mentioned above, this is inspired by a drawing/sketch by the amazingly talented Brandontheoutcast/Outcast Studios. I stumbled upon a drawing of Erma and Rumi from Kpop Demon Hunters months before I made this animatic. I loved it and showed it to some friends of mine. That’s when we mentioned the idea of one of my characters fitting the role of Rumi, and that character was Nova. Shortly after that, I remembered I wanted to do something based on the monster lines audio/dialogue from the movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame. So I thought this would be the perfect thing to do with that audio. Plus, I thought it would be a nice and visually fun way to tie it back to what inspired this animatic and idea overall.
Visually, I did my best to colour it like the drawing that inspired this animatic and idea, as well as translating Rumi and Erma into my art style, whilst still making sure you could tell it was them throughout this and in my art style. As for the ending of this video, I did have an edited version of the scene without the dialogue, but it sounded a little off. So I added the music I used for the ending, which I mentioned above, because it worked with the animatic and the tone I was going for with the ending.
I will be working on my next animatic/video soon, which I will take my time with as well. Until that project is done and uploaded for you all to enjoy, please be patient until it is done for you all to see here.
Aside from that, I hope you enjoy this, and please check out Brandontheoutcast/Outcast Studios because their work and art are amazing and definitely deserve it, as it is all visually amazing and fun to watch and look at.
