Hi there, guys, and here, as promised, is the newest animatic I have been working on for the past few weeks this month, along with another short one. While this is another short animatic and video, I worked very hard to make sure it was still visually fun and interesting, and that it received the same level of hard work, care, and effort. Also, this one, while inspired by a song I found on YouTube, was mostly inspired by a reel I stumbled upon on Instagram ages ago, before working on this.

As mentioned above, this was mostly inspired by a reel I stumbled upon on Instagram. I listened to the audio a few times, and the idea for the animatic quickly popped into my mind. I knew I had to bring it to life as an animatic because I didn’t want to pass it up. The song used in the reel was from the movie The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, titled "The Old Therebefore," and the version they used was the a cappella version. I did listen to the other version, but I went with this one because of the reel and because it suited what I wanted to convey tonally with this animatic.

I wanted to go with a bittersweet tone for this, unlike the previous animatic I made, which had a more wholesome tone. While I did want to make this a little somber, I didn’t want to make it too depressing, which is why I tried to convey something with a bittersweet tone. Also, with this, I decided to make it slightly like the previous animatic I did with my characters around Fire Emblem. However, while making this, I wasn’t sure if it looked Fire Emblem-like, so instead I went with a fantasy setting that you could see as being Fire Emblem-like, while still tying it into the other animatic I am on, which is based on a scene from Fire Emblem Fates.

I was going to add some quiet forest noises as ambiance, and while I did like it, I actually liked it more without any ambiance. So that’s why it is quiet in parts, with some sound effects, voice acting, and other things like that, as well as the song and the singer of it. So my apologies if the beginning of this, before the singing, sounds a little unusual. I wanted to go for something that worked and tried a few things. However, I hope you still enjoy it. Also, with the sound effects before the singing portion of this animatic, I did my best to balance them so they weren't too loud or too quiet. The visuals of these, mostly the colours were inspired by an animatic by Mushie R that they did for the song Popular from the musical Wicked. I liked the colours, and I thought it would work for this. However, I tweaked the colours around a bit to make it the colours you see here because I thought these colours and effects worked for it and the tone too.

I will be working on my next animatic/video soon, but as usual, I will be taking my time with it. So, until then, please be patient until the next animatic/video is up and made for you all to enjoy. However, whilst I will take my time with the next project, I will still do my very best to get it done as soon as possible, with the same amount of hard work, care, and effort put into it as all my other animatics and videos.

Aside from that, I hope you enjoy this animatic, and please check out all the people and artists that I have linked, credited, and mentioned here that inspired this animatic/video, because they deserve it.
