Description
I had this idea while working on another painting and knew I had to try it! I had some leftover colors, including gold, bronze, copper, pearlescent blue and violet, and this beautiful dark chocolatey base color from my table scrapings. Instead of doing what I had done before, I wanted to change things up and see what kind of design I could create.
And this one was definitely a bit of a wild ride. There was a point where I was looking at it thinking... I am not sure this was the right move. But after working through the design a little more and stretching everything out, it really started to come together. The dried result surprised me even more. Depending on the angle, the pearlescent colors shift between blue and violet, and there are so many little lines and details throughout the painting.
