Description
I had no idea there were this many holidays/celebration days in October! When I did my Pinktober series, someone also brought to my attention that October is DV awareness month too. So of course I had to do a purple painting! For this purple acrylic abstract painting, I used a swipe technique with shades of violet, blue, silver, black, and white to create two flowing sections that meet in the center.
The design uses negative space, layered color, and lots of movement, with one side swiped in black and the other in white. I really love how the silver dried and how the two sections twist together through the middle.
This painting was created for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, with purple as the awareness color and the center representing support and connection. My heart goes out to all affected by DV and I hope that you all get the support, strength and care that you need. 💜
Hope you enjoy this acrylic pour! Thank you so much for watching. Happy painting!
