Short Hannah’s Eyelet Back Carry | A Knotless Eyelet Finish for a Short Wrap

Description

A back carry built around a single decorative loop: the eyelet. Two sling passes meet in an eyelet at your chest, and it finishes knotless, with the layers tucked over and under the loop. It’s a beautiful finish, and it works with a short wrap.

The whole carry is organised around that one loop. The middle marker ends up sitting in the eyelet on your chest. One long strap comes down from the shoulder as the first layer, and the tail from under your arm ties the loop before it goes to the back.

A few things that make it sit well: tighten the first layer really well before you build anything, because the second layer has to be shaped around it. As you bring the under-arm tail over the shoulder strap, keep it close to your side, that’s exactly where the loop forms. And a lovely detail: for a bigger eyelet, pull tighter towards that side. It’s a small adjustment that changes the whole look of the finish.

It’s an advanced carry, uses a short wrap (base-2), and holds a leaner well. A grippy wrap helps, since you can hold the finish with a tuck under your child’s bum.

✅ Always check: close enough to kiss, chin off the chest, face in view, knees higher than the bum, back supported.
