There is no talking in this video, so you can watch it with the sound off. First I slide the panel together on the waist belt to narrow the base. Then the waist belt goes around, crossed at the back, with a double knot in front. You can alternatively tie a knot in the back.
The baby sits high on my chest with the panel over the back, and the straps are flipped at the shoulder and crossed on my back. Tighten strand by strand towards the front. Finish with a double knot in front. You also see the other ways to finish: the tails around to the back, or the straps crossed over and under the legs.
No voice means no spoken safety check, so here it is: face clear, snug, knees up. If your baby was born early or has medical needs, check with your own medical team on timing.
