Description
If you've got a long stretchy wrap and no idea where to start, this is for you. The Pocket Wrap Cross Carry is the most common carry with a stretchy wrap, and I'll take you through it step by step. Those metres of fabric look overwhelming, but it's much simpler than it seems. This is one of the lessons from my FREE Front Carry Basics course.

This works with any stretchy wrap, Solly Baby, Moby, or whatever brand you have. You can pre-tie the whole thing before baby goes in, which is lovely: wrap at home, pop baby in when you get where you're going, so you're never wrapping in the mud or the cold.
The carry has three layers: two inner layers crossing between baby's legs, and a horizontal pass over the top that helps with a leaner.
The one thing that makes all the difference: tie it tight. Really tight. A stretchy wrap stretches, so if it feels snug before baby goes in, it'll be just right once they're in. Tie it loose and baby will sink. This is the number one thing beginners get wrong, so prepare it tighter than feels logical.
