I installed these Acacia Interlocking Deck Tiles inside my outdoor storage shed to add a raised wooden flooring surface. With the rainy season approaching, I wanted to help protect the items I keep near the floor, especially since moisture can become a concern inside outdoor storage spaces.

What I really like about these 12-inch interlocking wood tiles is how perfectly they fit inside my shed. I have two storage racks positioned on opposite ends, and the tiles fit right between them at the base without taking up any additional storage space.

Real-World Use

For this review, I installed the Acacia Interlocking Deck Tiles inside my Florise 6x4 outdoor metal storage shed.

I have two storage racks inside the shed, one on each end, and I wanted to improve the flooring area between them.

One of the biggest advantages was that the tiles fit perfectly between my two storage racks. I was able to create a wooden flooring surface in that space without having to rearrange everything inside the shed.

The tiles feature a snap-together interlocking design, allowing the individual 12-inch squares to connect without nails or adhesive. This also makes them convenient to remove or rearrange if I need to access the floor underneath.

Another important feature is the raised drainage base. The wooden slats sit above the underlying surface, leaving channels underneath where incidental water can move rather than remaining directly against the wood.

Since the rainy season is coming, this was an important consideration for me. I want to help keep the items stored in my shed away from any moisture that might accumulate near the floor.

These tiles don't waterproof the shed or prevent flooding, but the raised design provides some separation from the underlying floor. I'll still need to make sure the shed is properly sealed and that water isn't collecting inside.

The tiles are made from solid acacia hardwood and come pre-finished with linseed oil, so they don't require an additional sealing step before their initial installation.

I also like the appearance of the natural wood. It makes the interior of my storage shed look more finished while providing a practical flooring surface.

Overall, these Acacia Interlocking Deck Tiles worked really well for my storage shed. The fit between my storage racks was exactly what I wanted, and the raised wooden design is a useful addition as I prepare my shed for the rainy season.

If you're looking for interlocking wood floor tiles for a storage shed, patio, balcony, or another suitable outdoor area, these are worth considering.
