Real-World Use
For this review, I added the AVOLT Square 1 to my desk to simplify charging my everyday devices.
The first thing that stands out is the Scandinavian minimalist design. Rather than looking like a bulky extension cord that you want to hide, the Square 1 is designed to become part of your workspace. Its compact cube shape and premium finish give it a modern appearance that fits naturally on a desk or nightstand.
I used it to charge both my MacBook and my iPad. My MacBook was connected using its normal USB-C power adapter plugged into one of the AC outlets. Then I unplugged the USB-C cable from Apple's charging brick and connected it directly into one of the Square 1's built-in USB-C ports. My iPad started charging immediately, showing how convenient it is to use the integrated USB-C charging without needing a separate charging block.
Another feature I really like is the magnetic mounting system. The included adhesive plate lets you mount the Square 1 underneath a desk, beside a nightstand, or on another flat surface, while still allowing you to quickly remove it whenever you need access.
The cube layout is also well designed. With three AC outlets positioned around the cube, it's easier to plug in multiple devices without larger adapters getting in each other's way.
I also appreciate that AVOLT focused on both functionality and design. Instead of simply adding more outlets, the Square 1 helps create a cleaner, more organized workspace while keeping your everyday devices powered and within easy reach.
