This landscape photography adventure begins with a delightful discovery. A hidden gem in the Scottish Highlands reveals not just a mountain scene but a Fotogasmic forest reflection that look like something out of a Tolkien novel.
Miraculously, Blake and I aren't pestered by midges even though we're deep in a bog. Our luck runs out though when we visit a spectacular waterfall deep in the woods. Each one of us is forced to wear the photographers armour as we get assailed by midges.
Despite these challenges, I somehow manage to bag some killer shots with the Hasselblad X2DII which was made for scenes like this.
Blake disgraces himself once again with his sacrilegious abuse of chocolate biscuits by covering them in lemon curd. If that isn't a hanging offense in the UK, I don't know what is!
He's also deeply offended by the delicious boot-stench that I've managed to cultivate in rather a short time. So offended that he would rather walk 8 miles to the pub than suffer one more second of my heady fragrance. It's his loss.
We also squeeze in a visit to Kilchurn Castle but we completely ignore the castle in favour of a beautiful scene unfolding before our eyes. Everyone is in raptures of Fotogasmic ecstasy until Tim takes a dive into a sheep-cake soaked bog.
Will Tim escape the clutches of Scottish quick-sand and does Amanda really like that boot-stench or is she all talk?
