RULES:
The object of the game is to have the highest score after 3 rounds. Each player takes a colored deck containing 16 cards and places their 4 strike cards facedown in front of them. Everyone picks 8 of their cards to form their hand for round 1, which they keep hidden from others. The remaining 8 are placed facedown to the side. Each card shows 2 outcomes, “UP” with the blue background, and “SIDE” with the red. The youngest player goes first, then play proceeds clockwise.
On your turn, pick one card from your hand and place it facedown in front of you, then say “your call” to the player to your left. The player to your left is your commander and calls either “UP” or “SIDE”. Now, you reveal your card and orient it as indicated to see the part of your card the commander called which will either determine if you score points, trigger a special ability, or record a strike.
If it is a number, then it will score that many points at the end of the round. If it is a special ability, then it resolves immediately by following its instructions. If a previous card’s orientation is switched, the new outcome replaces the original. If a card causes a strike, then flip one of your strike cards faceup. If you flip up all four strikes, you are eliminated from the game. Keep your score, but you do not participate in rounds or score more points.
After resolving your card, your turn ends and the next player goes. Repeat this process, placing each new card in a line in front of you, keeping track of orientation. Once everyone has played all 8 of their cards, then the rounds ends and all player’s cards are scored. All players gather up all their cards and play another round, by selecting a new set of 8 cards. Repeat this process until 3 rounds have been played, then the game ends and the player with the most points wins.
