About this video: Recording your Minecraft worlds and turning them into cinematic videos is exactly what the Replay Mod is for. In this video, we show you how to install the Replay Mod in Minecraft 26.3, set up FFmpeg for exporting, and make your first replay.

To get started, you will need the Replay Mod itself. There is a link in the description above to our website. Scroll down, and click "Download Replay Mod" to go to the official download page. Find the 26.3 version, and click "Download". If your browser asks, it is 100% safe to keep or save the file.

The Replay Mod is a Fabric mod, so you will also need the Fabric mod loader. It is linked in the description above as well. Click "Download for Windows", and save the file.

While that downloads, grab the Fabric API. This is a library mod that the Replay Mod needs in order to work. The link above takes you to CurseForge, where you can download the 26.3 version. Believe it or not, downloading everything is the hardest part.

Open the Fabric installer and install Fabric.

With Fabric now installed, we can move on to how to get the Replay Mod in Minecraft. Start off by opening the Minecraft Launcher. Then, go to the "Installations" tab. Find your Fabric Loader installation, and click the folder icon on it. This opens your .minecraft folder, where you should see a "mods" folder. If you do not have one, just create one. Drag and drop the Replay Mod and the Fabric API directly into it.

Now, the Replay Mod will work when you play Minecraft with Fabric. The catch is that you will not be able to export videos without something called FFmpeg. The Replay Mod documentation linked above covers the FFmpeg download. Click "Installing FFmpeg", and download the Windows version.

After it downloads, go back to the "Installations" tab in the Minecraft Launcher. Click the folder icon on your Fabric installation again. This time, move the FFmpeg file directly into the .minecraft folder.

You are not quite done yet, though. Right-click on the FFmpeg file, and click "Extract". Then, click "Extract" again. You will now be able to export videos in-game. If exporting videos with Replay Mod hasn’t worked for you in the past, this is most likely why.

With everything installed, play Minecraft with your Fabric installation. When you join a world, the Replay Mod records everything you do in-game. If you pause the game, you can pause, resume, or stop the recording.

For those cinematic shots, stop your recording, and go back to the main menu. Open the Replay Viewer, and you will see your recording there. You may have to save the replay first in the top right of the game. Double-click on it in the Replay Viewer to load in.

This is where you actually make your video. Keyframes control how the camera moves and how time plays out. Add a position keyframe where you want the shot to start, and another where you want it to end. Time keyframes work the same way. Add one, play the replay forward, and add another.

When your keyframes are set, render your path. You can add it to the render queue or render it right away. It renders directly in Minecraft.

Finally, Minecraft will prompt you to open the video folder once the render is done. Your video is saved in the replay videos folder inside your .minecraft folder. You can change the export path if you would like.

That is everything you need to know to download, install, and use the Replay Mod in Minecraft 26.3. We're happy to help with any questions you may have, so make sure to post them in the comments.
