About this video: Adding a non-Steam game to Steam lets you launch games, apps, and other programs directly from your Steam library. In this video, we show you how to add non-Steam games to Steam, including programs that do not automatically appear in Steam’s list of detected applications.

To get started, open Steam and go to the Library tab. Click “Add a Game” in the bottom-left corner, then select “Add a Non-Steam Game.” Steam will display a list of programs it has detected on your computer. If the game or application you want is listed, check the box next to it and continue.

However, some programs may not appear automatically. In that case, click “Browse” and locate the program’s executable file manually. Most programs can be found by opening your Local Disk from the sidebar and looking inside either the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder. From there, open the folder for your game or application and select its .exe file.

Once you have selected everything you want, click “Add Selected Programs.” The non-Steam games and applications will now appear in your Steam library, where you can select and launch them just like your regular Steam games.

We also cover how to remove a non-Steam game from your library. Simply right-click the game or application, hover over “Manage,” and select “Remove non-Steam Game from Your Library.” This only removes the shortcut from Steam and does not uninstall the program from your computer.

With that, you now know how to add non-Steam games to Steam and remove them again when needed. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments. Otherwise, be sure to give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. It really helps us out. Thanks for watching!
