I somehow managed to win the raffle for the limited edition UNDEFEATED x Nike Air Max 95 ‘Hyper Cobalt’ Birmingham City FC trainers, and this video tells the full story of how we actually managed to get them.
Only 2,220 pairs of these were made worldwide as part of Nike and UNDEFEATED’s global geo-exclusive Air Max programme, with Birmingham representing the city in the iconic Hyper Cobalt colourway. Each pair is individually numbered and features Birmingham City branding throughout, including the famous globe and ball crest.
Before the unboxing, this video also includes footage from the Charlton game at St Andrew’s, where me and my dad were back down the Blues again, this time discovering that an obstructed view is somehow worse than a restricted one.
The trainers themselves were collection-only from St Andrew’s on a specific night, with strict rules stating the raffle winner had to collect them in person with ID. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend… which is where a slightly daft workaround involving my dad (who has the same name as me) and my daughter came into play.
The video finishes with an unboxing of the trainers and the reveal of which numbered pair we ended up with.
