1 Week Off 80mg Propranolol MR - Switching to 10mg Pills

Description

It’s been one week since I switched from 80mg modified-release propranolol to 10mg immediate-release tablets taken throughout the day. I won’t lie, I was anxious about making the change after being on the same dose for over 15 years. The build-up to the switch probably caused more stress than the switch itself.

In this video, I give an honest update on how the first week has gone. I talk about the clearer head I’ve noticed, waking up feeling more alert, not feeling my pulse pounding when I exert myself, and some of the mental adjustments that come with changing long-term medication. There have been a few wobbles, but overall it’s been more positive than I expected.

I’m recording this sat in the back of the campervan while Magda and Sofia are in IKEA, just a real, off-the-cuff update on how things are actually feeling one week in.

If you’re facing a medication change, especially after many years on the same dose, hopefully this helps to hear someone talk through it honestly.
